FAQ
Do you require a deposit?
A 50% deposit is required to secure your portrait session date and 30% for your wedding date. When this has been paid and we are official (woohoo!), the slot is all yours and no other sessions can be booked during this time. Because of this, the deposit is non-refundable but can be used towards a session on a future date.
How do I book my session?
Please fill out the contact form so we can get started with setting up your session. Once a date has been chosen you will need to sign the contract, pay the initial deposit, and you are all set!
I have no idea what to wear to my session! Can you help?
I've got you covered. I have a style guide to help you out with choosing the best things to wear to your session.
Can my pet be in photos?
I want nothing more than for you to bring your furry babes to your session! As long as the location allows it, bring them (along with some treats)!
Do you give discounts?
I offer a 10% discounts for military and first responders (TYFYS), but other than that I do not offer other discounts.
What kind of gear do you use?
I shoot with a Sony A7riii and have multiple lenses - a 35mm (my fave), 85mm, and 12-24mm for some fun landscape shots.
Do you have any travel fees?
For locations 30 miles outside of the 32724 area code there is a travel fee of $0.30/mile. For sessions over two and a half hours away, additional travel fees may apply (flights, lodging, rental car, etc.) and are unique to the session.
Do I have to order prints through you?
Sessions come with a print release so you will be able to take your photos wherever you would like to be printed. That being said, you will have access to purchase beautiful high quality prints from my photo lab via your online gallery. There is a risk of low quality when you get cheap prints and at fair prices I always recommend my lab first!
Do you help with choosing locations?
Definitely. I have a good list of location options to help you out if you aren't sure. I’d like to note that this is the time to think outside the box as well! I encourage you to brainstorm unique locations that you might have special access to that most people don’t. For example, maybe you, or someone in your personal or professional network, can secure permission to a location that would otherwise be off-limits, like a beautiful private estate, country club or resort. Maybe it’s a family ranch, upscale hotel or even a boat, airplane hangar or a rooftop view. The sky is literally the limit! Spend a few minutes thinking about it and checking around. You’ll be surprised with what you come up with. Plus, if something seems out of reach, just remember: you never know until you ask!
Do you shoot destination weddings?
I love to travel and capture destination weddings. It's what my dreams are made of! If you would like me to capture your destination wedding a travel fee is required but I am always conscious of cost and look for the best prices when booking!
Will there be a second shooter?
A second shooter is included in the two largest wedding packages to provide some extra hands and additional storytelling.
What is a lifestyle newborn session?
This session is focused on the interaction between parents and their newborn as well as any siblings (furry or human). It is done from the comfort of your home and is relaxed with minimal props. I want to capture you in the moment with your baby so years down the road you can look at these photos and remember what life was like when you brought your babe home.
Can you photoshop us?
I believe in body positivity and loving yourself as you are. So other than things that are not normally there (skin blemishes, scrapes, bruises, etc.) I do not make major body edits. If you are self conscious of something please let me know during your session and I can make adjustments with your posing in photos.
What if there is bad weather?
Weather can be unpredictable, especially here in the sunshine state. I always keep an eye on the weather before our session but sometimes a random storm can come through right when we start. I think it's great to embrace the storm (why not dance in the rain, right?!) but if weather does interrupt us we can always reschedule to another date. I usually make the call the day before and ask what you would prefer to do, especially if you are getting hair and makeup done.
